TECH WALK 2014 KEYNOTE ADDRESS AND WORKSHOP TO IMPROVE INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM
Purpose
Provide a keynote address and two-hour workshop on applying Rainforest concepts to improving Maine’s innovation ecosystem for better social, environmental, and economic outcomes.
Outcomes
- Created more awareness among the participants of Rainforest Principles and provided a fresh perspective on innovation potential in Maine.
Participants & Process
Rainforest keynote by author Victor Hwang presented gave an overview of Rainforest concepts including: innovation, Plantations vs. Rainforests, innovation ecosystems, and social contracts. Victor offered examples from various Rainforest project cases.
"How to Think in the Rainforest" workshop (2 hours) included modules: 1) innovation efforts in Maine remembered with pride versus those remembered with sorrow; 2) building a Scenario of Success for Maine in 2020 using Rainforest tools.
